DARCARS Joins Luke's Wings To Fly Heroes Home
This holiday season, DARCARS Automotive Group and DARCARS Toyota are proud to partner with Luke’s Wings to help even more wounded service members, veterans, and first responders with their families. Through the "DARCARS" Heroes Home for the Holidays campaign, we’ve pledged to cover the cost of 500 flights, with a portion of flights specifically for service members and families in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region and the tristate area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Founded in 2008, Luke's Wings is a nonprofit dedicated to providing complimentary flights to wounded, ill, and injured service members and their families. These flights are essential for allowing families to be together during the difficult recovery process. While the government provides a limited number of flights, many families are left to cover the costs on their own, a financial burden that Luke’s Wings seeks to alleviate.
This year, Luke’s Wings is running the No Service Member Spends the Holidays Alone campaign, running through December 31. The campaign aims to ensure that heroes are not alone during a time meant for family and togetherness.
From now until the end of the year, we are committed to continuing our community support to help fund Luke’s Wings flights. We also encourage customers and community members to consider donating directly to Luke’s Wings.
